In connection with the Maison de la Culture et de la Musique project, this reference is particularly relevant to the relationship of the new complex with the village fabric of the protected zone, both through its layout, divided into several staggered bodies that extend the morphology of the existing village-street, and through the mineral register of the facades crowned by a wooden deck.
The main challenge in developing this plot was to propose an end to the street space in the heart of the village of Chancy. The high density sought was reflected in the choice of a rhythmic layout of several “houses” linked together in a regulated contiguous order.
