Place Carantec

The Route de Ferney, one of the project’s defining elements, is bordered by a series of ensembles such as Budé, Plein-Soleil and Morillon-Parc. They are all dense urban sites with continuous fronts, separated by wide wooded cordons where the architecture engages in a physical relationship with nature, distant views and generous open spaces. The project is envisaged in this continuity while linking with the town of Grand-Saconnex. The urban form, modelled on a serpentine plan, draws a silhouette with differentiated heights that ensures an opening up of space and guarantees distant views for most of the apartments. It helps to
highlight two figures of public space: the square and the park. The square is made up of a succession of interlocking atmospheres connected by the existing “maison des médecins” building. As an
extension of the existing park of the Délices, the linear park offers a promenade crossing the entire length of the project perimeter. The urban form favours continuous and dual-aspect typologies,
with corner loggias to allow the light to penetrate deeply. The homogenous tectonic register of architectural expression aims to define an urban ensemble.
